I Have Moved to Instagram

I have moved to Instagram. I have created a dedicated account for East Street Tales. Here you can find all the newer images and also pictures of the exhibition I had a couple of years ago.
I also created a separate account where you can see images from all my projects.

You can follow East Street Tales here.
Images from all my project can be found here

I am sad to leave this blog but it has been difficult to keep up so many different platforms. Thank you so much for following me here during the years. Your support and encouragment means a lot for me. I hope you will find my Instagram accounts equally inspiring.

East Street Tales on Indiegogo

It has been a little bit of silence since my last post. I have been working away at my desk during the dark winter-months that leave East Street in one long, never ending shadow.

During this time I have realized that it would be necessary for me to raise more funds if I wanted to continue with my ongoing project. I decided to start crowd funding and I have been preparing for my campaign.

Crowd-funding platforms are helping creatives around the world to realize their dreams by bringing together supporters for their work.

I spent the last couple of months planning, budgeting, writing and contacting people. My project has been developing very well and almost 30% has been raised already. I still have another 27 days to go and I am very hopeful about reaching my goal.

Please take a look at my campaign here:

You can help me by spreading the word about this project. Please copy and paste this link https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/east-street-tales and share it on your social media sites.

Please consider a contribution and I will send you your chosen reward when I reached my target. Every donation will be greatly received and will help me to get closer to my goal. With your help I will be able to continue with my work and exhibit it for everybody to see.

Thank you for your help!

Bemmie IV (Bedminster Parade, East Street, Bristol)

The more time I spend photographing this area the more I become part of the street furniture. It seems that my presence is accepted and I am gaining access to more places then before.

As Bristol City Council is redesigning the social landscape of this traditionally working class area by building many new luxury flats in its heart I will be very busy documenting all the changes during the next couple of years. To support some of the expenses of this photography work I will be starting a crowd funding campaign in the beginning of next year. I will be posting more details and information after the festivities. Until then here is a selection of images I took at the end of summer and during the autumn.

Bedmo III (Bedminster Parade, East Street, Bristol)

I am fortunate to be able to spend more time on this project I have been getting to know people by name and learning their interesting life stories.

Bedminster Parade is my local high street unfortunately its residents are often overlooked and misrepresented. I hope that my project will be able to go beyond the surface and show the friendly and colourful side of this unique community.
